Surly Nate Tire

Surly's Nate Tire is a hard-charging, grippy tire designed to rally over, through and around all kinds of conditions. Large and aggressive, the tire features lots of knobs that wrap around the side of the tire for added traction, and wide spacing to shred whatever it is you're riding through.

      Comments:

This tire is the benchmark 4" fat bike tire. It is super supple and can withstand really low pressures (3.5-4 psi). The side lugs afford great corner bite and the center lugs make climbing easy. I installed a Nate on the back of my Norco fat bike and I put it backwards -- it paddles snow and gets me up snowy climbs that leave others hiking their bikes up. I've also used them on hard-packed singletrack in summer and it works great there, too. It's awesome on sandy trails with exposed roots and rocks. I won't ride anything else (caveat: I will ride studded tires on ice).
