Surly Flat Bar Cross-Check
$1,339.99
The bicycle is a great way to get around. It’s a lot less expensive than a car and a lot less crowded than public transportation. These days, many bicycle companies forsake practicality in the name of speed, weight, or some other frivolity. Well, not us. Behold the Flat Bar Cross-Check: a different take on an old favorite, and a go-to for those seeking solid two-wheel, non-motorized transport. It’s still the same Surly Cross-Check frame that has reliably carried people from here to there for decades, only with a spec that moves it deeper into the category of practical transportation. The Cross-Check frame is constructed of Surly's size specific 4130 CroMoly ‘Natch tubing and adorned with a simple and straight-forward build kit comprised of SRAM X5 components, tough Alex rims, and Surly's do-it-all Knard 41 tire. Instead of the standard drop bar, there’s a comfy flat bar with a 27-degree sweep to keep you sitting pretty, and an MSW Pork Chop rear rack to carry you and all of your stuff with the greatest of ease. One of Surly's goals with this bike was to keep the price tag low and the usefulness high. That way, you’ll have some cash leftover just in case you want to stop for a happy hour on the way home from work.

Surly Big Dummy
$3,379.99
Big Dummy is a long-tail cargo bike, which means that not only can you haul a serious amount of cargo, different accessories can be added to your Big Dummy frame and deck depending on what you want to carry. Being a dedicated single-piece frame, instead of an add-on to an existing bike, it's stiffer and resistant to torsional flex, which provides a better ride and longer lasting frame than long-tail add-ons. Like all Surly's frames, it's made of their size specific, 4130 CroMoly steel – a tube set engineered for cargo that sports lots of little touches that you've come to love in a Surly, like clearance for big tires and the use of common component sizes. Figure on being able to carry about 200 pounds (90kg) of cargo. The load weight, and how it's loaded, will affect the handling somewhat. Also, plan on using gears, especially as cargo weight increases. This may seem obvious, but as you get comfy with it, you will use your full range of gears as never before. The parts kit is good quality, and suitable to loaded as well as unloaded riding. It's got a 3x10 drivetrain, Avid BB7 disc brakes, quality Shimano Deore hubs, and 26x2.3" Kenda Kiniption tires. They've outfitted it with Surly-designed bags, deck, rails and Dummy Rail Collars; everything you need for the majority of stuff you might carry, like groceries, shovels, bags of charcoal or mulch, guitars, lamps, mannequins, whatever. Bags, deck, rails, and rail collars are all designed to improve on previous offerings and work together to make sure your stuff is transported with safety and stability. It's an unbending interface, which when you're carrying lots of cargo, is a good thing to have. Get creative, and get hauling. If you intend to carry a passenger on your Big Dummy, Surly requires use of their Dummy Rail Collars. These provide a secondary retention system for the rack, as well as stiffen the rack system. These are included with current Big Dummy bikes and frames, as well as available for older Big Dummy bikes and frames (compatible with all generations of Big Dummy bikes/frames). In addition, a stoker handlebar set up, found on tandem bicycles, is recommended as well. Make sure to check with seat post manufacturer for stoker handlebar compatibility. If you are planning to carry a child on your Big Dummy, Surly recommends the use of a child seat. They've tested the Maxxi Yepp seat. Yepp makes an adaptor that allows their seat to mount onto Surly's deck. It works well with the Big Dummy. At this time other child seats are not recommended and will void your warranty. Surly is testing other options. For the most up to date compatibility/options, check http://www.surlybikes.com/safety Note: keep in mind Big Dummy weight limits when carrying a passenger.

Benno Bikes Carry On 27D
$1,699.99
Benno loved the idea of inspiring people to use their bikes to carry loads — from grocery runs and hauling chairs and a cooler to the beach to dropping off oversized packages at the post office. But looking at most cargo bikes, they wondered if they really had to be so long, cumbersome and hard to store. It seems like a big commitment to ride around on one of those with all the welded on racks and extensions. Do you really need a bike that big to carry a little more? Instead of making a cargo bike smaller, they decided to make a regular bike slightly longer and stick with a tried-and-true attachable (and interchangeable) rack system. These racks are larger, made of stronger, oversized tubing and attached with extra-large bolts. The front tray is mounted directly to the frame so your steering won’t be affected, even when fully loaded. The Carry On is a clean utility bike that will carry a baby seat and 4 large grocery bags, or all the gear you need for a fun beach day or a camping trip. The different rack options let you pick your own configuration, while the 24” wheels keep your center of gravity low. You might be wondering why the tires are so wide. Have you ever seen a truck with skinny tires?

Benno Bikes Ballooner Ladies’ 8D
$999.99
When Benno made a Ballooner prototype a few years ago, they found that they enjoyed riding it more than any other bike. The very balanced geometry is comfortable and sporty, which allows for a longer, more purposeful ride. Elevated specs, including Tektro rim brakes and 8-speeds, provide a smooth, almost effortless riding experience. The big, plush tires provide a comfortable and controlled ride. Studies have proven that in many road conditions quality high volume tires actually have less rolling resistance than skinny tires. In most urban settings, you'll often find yourself on rougher, less than perfect roads – another situation made better by a wider tire. All in all, the Ballooner is a real gentleman: humble, polite, elegant and extremely capable. A modern retro-style everyday commuter.

Urban Arrow Family Cargo Bike
$7,699.99
The traditional Dutch bike is if nothing but durable. Traditionally using steel tubing older suspension design, they are built to be abused. Few bikes have adopted modern materials, even in the heavy cargo bike (bakfiets) scene. Urban Arrow is a bit different. The Urban Arrow Family Cargo E-Bike is one of the most advanced cargo bikes on the market, thanks to it’s substantial change in materials and technology. The start of every Urban Arrow cargo bike is it’s frame. The aluminum frame isn’t just light, but far stiffer and ideal for heavy loads. The alloy frame allows for two wheelbases – one for family and one for smaller needs – which makes the bike extremely versatile. Set in it’s long wheelbase setting, it’s EPS foam (same foam as a helmet) box allows for all kinds of precious cargo while offering strong impact resistance. It can be also used with it’s flat bed to carry any number of things. Swap out the front end for the Shorty model, and it becomes much more like a regular bike with additional cargo space. Two things set the Urban Arrow apart from the competition: it’s pedal-assist motor and it’s unique drivetrain. The Bosch Performance Line pedal-assist motor is Bosch’s strongest motor, and offers up to 350W of power up the biggest hills and lots of torque to get the bike accelerating to a safe speed. Further, there is no derailleur but instead an internal gear hub, and not just any internal gear hub but a wide range Nuvinci 380 system offers a wide gear range with infinitely ratios, but much lower maintenance. Unlike most bikes, there are no clicks’ between gears, but a smooth roll that allows riders to be in the perfect gear every time. The Urban Arrow Family Cargo E-Bike offers a long wheelbase, which isn’t just roomier, but means the bike is impressively stable at speeds. It takes a bit of adjustment coming from a normal bicycle, but the extra stability is certainly welcome. It’s alloy frame is stiffer than the competition’s steel bikes and lighter too, which makes steering much more direct than the competition. Simply put: if you’re carrying toddlers as opposed to infants, as well as heavier gear over longer distances, the Urban Arrow Family cargo bike is one of the best options around. The Urban Arrow Family uses an aluminum frame and the long-wheelbase option. It uses a Bosch Performance Line motor, a 400Wh battery, and a Nuvinci Nfinity 330 internally geared hub. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes slow the bike down quickly and reliably, while the Weinmann wheelset is durable and built for the day-to-day slog. An Abus Cafe Lock locks the rear wheel into place Includes - Raincover - Extra Front Bench - Carrier Wheel - FLoor Mat - Poncho - Luggagenet
