*Formerly COMPASS CYCLES* The ultimate tire for speedy gravel adventures! At 55 mm wide, the Antelope Hill is our largest tire yet. We name our tires after the passes in the Cascade Mountains that have inspired them: Antelope Hill is the last great climb on the 360-mile Oregon Outback mixed-surface ride/race. Oregon's gravel is quite loose in places, and the extra floatation of the Antelope Hill tires gives you more speed and security when the going gets really rough. Antelope Hill itself is a beautiful paved climb (photo), so we designed this tire to roll as fast and grip as well as a good racing tire. With this tire, you truly have the best of both worlds. All Rene Herse tires combine the performance of high-end tubular tires with the convenience of clinchers and the width for all-road riding. The Standard casing is a more affordable option that also offers extra protection against sidewall cuts on sharp rocks. The Extralight casing takes the performance, comfort and feel of your bike to an entirely new level. The Antelope Hill is tubeless-compatible in both standard and extralight casings.

Our most iconic 650B tire has a perfect balance of on-pavement grip and off-pavement volume. We name our tires after the passes in the Cascade Mountains that have inspired them: Babyshoe Pass (photo) runs between the great volcanoes of Mount St. Helens and Mount Adams in the Cascade Range. This long climb on a gravel road provides a back-door way from Seattle to Portland, avoiding the crowded Puget Lowland. As you climb out of the dense evergreen forests, the mountain vistas open up, and you see glimpses of Mount Adams. For this challenging ride, you will appreciate the Babyshoe Pass TC, which rolls as fast as a racing tire on the paved lower sections of the climb, yet floats over the gravel on the higher parts.

* Formerly COMPASS CYCLES* The Barlow Pass is the sweet spot for most all-road bikes. We name our tires after the passes in the Cascade Mountains that have inspired them: Barlow Pass (photo) is near the ghost town of Monte Cristo in the northern Cascades. Our Barlow Pass is the perfect tire for rides that combine equal portions of pavement and gravel: light enough so your bike retains the nimble feel of a road bike, yet 38 mm wide to give you amazing traction on pavement and off. The Barlow Pass is tubeless-compatible in both standard and extralight casings. When used with tubes, we recommend the SV17 or SV18 tubes.

You’ll enjoy the speed and grip of the supple casing on the paved sections of the climb, and the large air volume will have you float over the rough gravel. All Rene Herse tires combine the performance of high-end tubular tires with the convenience of clinchers and the width for all-road riding. The Standard casing is a more affordable option that also offers extra protection against sidewall cuts on sharp rocks.
