Midnight Special is a road plus bike designed to provide comfort and speed on those all-day rides that extend well beyond fresh pavement. Midnight Special shines on pot-holed, deteriorating pavement and the occasional long stretch of gravel. Its 650B road plus tires eat up road chatter and absorb all the bumps in the road like the champion it was designed to be. When it comes to road bikes, we just want to toss a few bananas into our pockets and see where the road takes us. We seek out varied surfaces on our rides and frequently go from pavement to gravel to worse pavement. Midnight Special allows us to accomplish all of that quite comfortably. - Higher volume tires allow better fine tuning of tire pressure on varying surfaces and create a wider contact patch for increased traction - Modern road standards like flat-mount disc brakes, 12mm front and rear thru-axles, and a 44mm head tube - Clearance for 650B x 60mm or 700c x 42mm tires without fenders (650B x 50mm or 700c x 38mm with fenders)

Version 4.0 continues to be the compelling choice for grail, adventure touring, and all roads. The 4.0 version features taller stack heights on most sizes, and an additional set of water bottle bosses under the down tube The original inspiration for the Wolverine was "Monster Cross", but it is seriously so much more. Its geometry is stable enough for off-road touring but sporty enough for all-around adventure and gravel riding. With its sliding dropouts, you can run single-speed, derailleur gearing, or hub gearing. The A-Type is a little more "modern" than the B-Type. It adopts a 142mm rear thru-axle and a 44mm headtube that will fit a 1-1/8 straight steerer or tapered steerer with the proper headset type (better compatibility with third-party carbon fiber gravel forks; however we removed the seat stay break, so it isn't Gates belt-drive compatible like the B-Type. Uses full-length cable housing, so it does not have the old-school downtube shifter bosses. - A-Type has more modern standards, 12x142mm dropouts, and 44mm head tube without belt drive compatibility - Geometry stable enough for off-road touring and adventuring, but nimble enough for the cross (monster cross that is) - IRD Broski sliding dropouts let you run gears or a single-speed setup with better durability and less wheel slippage - Tange Prestige heat-treated CrMo tubes for the front triangle, butted CrMo rear end - Internal anti-rust coating protects against rust - Braze-ons for rear rack and fenders (disc brake-compatible racks only) - Rear hub spacing: 12x142mm TA with International Standard disc brake mounts - Clearance for 700x45c tires with fenders - 44mm headtube allows for straight 1-1/8" or tapered 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" forks - Matching thru-axle fork sold separately
